Vintage Eclectic Style Chairs

I am in love with these chairs...

Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller Wire Shell Chair with cat’s cradle base.  One weld is snapped but does not effect the comfort or strength of the chair. Easy repair.

Pair of Danish Modern Armchairs

A vintage, low back, bent wood, cantliever armchair designed by Alvar Aalto. This chair is circa 1940/50 and has a total height of 27 inches, seat height of 16.5 inches and total width of 23.5 inches. It is covered in a cotton velvet. The chair is in good condition with light wear to fabric and the wood has a warm, honey color patina. Alvar Aalto's designed have been marketed by the Wohnbedarf store in Zürich since the 1930's. 

Arne Vodder Danish Design Vintage Leather Arm Chair
A vintage Arne Vodder arm chair with a rosewood frame and black leather upholstery. The chairs were originally used in the Zurich, Switzerland branch of the Dansk Bank and date from the 1970s. The overall measurements are 36 x 23 x 24 inches and have a seat height of 17.5 inches. They are in very good condition with minimal patina. We have a total of ten available. 
A rare 20th century Italian design chair. The chair, model "DU 30",was originally designed in 1953 by Gastone Rinaldi. The design won the Compasso D'Oro in 1954; this particular chair is from the late 50's.

Important Early 50s Swiss Design Wohnhilfe Stool 
A fine example of early 50's Swiss design. The stool was designed by the Swiss designer, Jakob Mueller and was sold at the store Wohnhilfe. Measurements are: 17.75 x 16.5 x 12.5 inches. It is in good condition with patina. This is an early 1950s version in a darker hued wood compared to the later lighter wood production series.

A 1950s, Jean Prouve wooden chair. The chair has a total height of 32 inches and is 15.5 inches wide. 

This is a 1934 edition that first appeared in the 1935 prospectus and was designed for the public sector market, particularly the office market. This version is quite rare and very rarely seen on the market as only a few dozen were created  for the Lycée (High School) and the École National Professionelle in Metz (1936). The chair has some patina and light wear to brown paint and at seat edge (see photos). The total height is 29.75 inches, seat height of 18 inches and seat width of 15 inches.
